A place to investigate, not a promise to book.
Located in a quiet side street, the hotel is very close to Corfu town's historic Spianada and guests have easy access, on foot, to all the important sites and attractions of Kerkyra: Liston, the two great fortresses, museums and Corfu town's fine restaurants, shops and cafes. The hotel, housed in a gloriously restored neo-classical mansion, is an oasis of calmness in the heart of the island's vibrant city. Originally built as the 19th-century residence of one of the island's prominent families, in the 20th century the edifice served as a consulate, the National Bank of Greece, and a high school for Corfiot schoolgirls. In 1988, the apricot-hued stately home became a hotel known for the Most Serene Republic and in 2006 it was lovingly renovated to serve the needs of third-millennium guests from all over the world. The hotel comprises 31 rooms with ancient charm, yet fitted with all comforts of modern life. ROOM DESCRIPTION:“Classic double/twin room”: located on the ground floor (with view to the garden or town) or first floor (with view to the town/park). 'Standard double/twin room': located on the second/top floor. These are the most peaceful rooms & have smaller horizontal windows with limited view because the hotel is a listed building.
